Government cash

The Prime Minister, Theresa May, has announced £20m worth of funding from Government and charities for a new fund to build on the legacy of the murdered Batley MP, Jo Cox, by helping those suffering from loneliness to ‘establish and maintain connections’. The new Loneliness Minister, Tracey Crouch MP, said she felt ‘very emotional’ when the scale of the fund to help tackle isolation was revealed, and that the cash had exceeded her expectations.
